Starting slowly and gradually speeding up, songs vary throughout. Various plays are incorporated including "weaving anchovies," "stepping tiles," and "picking fern." Legend says Admiral Yi Sun-sin had women perform it during Imjin War to deceive Japanese invaders. Still performed at Chuseok and traditional festivals today, with participatory programs for foreigners. A beautiful tradition symbolizing community harmony and abundance.
