Traditional Music Experience
The National Gugak Center, established in 1951, is the home of Korean traditional music, a national institution that preserves and transmits gugak with 1,300 years of tradition dating back to the Silla Dynasty. Along with regular performances like Saturday Masterpiece and Wednesday Dance, it offers traditional instrument experiences including gayageum, geomungo, and janggu, as well as gugak learning programs. Online courses are available through the e-Gugak Academy, and backstage tours are also popular.
