Architecture from the Future: DDP Night View
Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a neo-futuristic architectural landmark designed by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid. Characterized by its curved, organic forms, the building transforms at night when 45,133 LED panels create various lighting displays. The entire structure becomes a massive media canvas, presenting ever-changing light shows.
Night View Points
- Eoullim Square - The main plaza offering the best vantage point to view the entire building
- LED Rose Garden - A photo zone with 25,550 glowing LED roses, even more romantic at night
- Salim-teo Rooftop Garden - Enjoy unique night views from the walkway on the curved roof
- Perimeter Path - Walk around the building to appreciate the lighting changes from various angles
Nighttime Activities
DDP is open 24 hours, allowing you to enjoy the night view anytime. Design Lab and exhibition halls operate until 9 PM, offering various design exhibitions and experience programs. Connected to Dongdaemun Fashion Town, it's perfect for combining late-night shopping with a night view tour.
Photography Tips
The blue hour right after sunset is the best time to capture the building's curves and LED lighting beautifully. Use a wide-angle lens to capture the entire building, or try close-ups of the detailed curves. The LED Rose Garden is an ideal spot for portrait photography.
